			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><span id="more-188"></span><!--noteaser--> The base in these photos is home to the 309th Aerospace Maintenance And Regeneration Group (309 AMARG) which repairs some of the aircraft and even gets some of them flying again. Electronics, wiring, munitions, and engines are all recycled to help reduce the cost of maintaining today’s fleet. The U.S. government even allows the military in other countries to buy parts and planes from the site. The facility is the size of 1,300 football fields. The desert is a perfect place to store the mass of steel, because the small amount of rainfall means low humidity which means very little rust occurs. Photos are clickable.</p>
